The best rapper ever recording for his new CD.

Bishop Lamont, Dr. Dre's protege who often posts videos and songs online, is speaking up about Eminem. He recently talked to Entertainment Weekly where he said "Em is excited," continuing “He's been quiet too long, and he's got a lot to get off his chest." Eminem has been through a lot, like the death of his partner Proof of D12, as Bishop Lamont said "He went through what he had to go through, and now he's been able to take all the pain and stress and put it out in his music."

It's been four years since Eminem dropped his last album, Encore, although we did have Curtain Call in 2005, which was simply a greatest hits collection. No release date has been announced for Eminem's next album but his label says he's currently at work in the studio. Bishop Lamont went on to say he's heard "some amazing stuff" from Slim shady in recent recording sessions.






This was posted in july 2007. How long does is usually take for eminem to record for a whole CD? I heard it will be out in 2009. I can't wait though. Im so buing this on release date.

I'm interested to see what his music is about now since he's too old to be rapping about rape and vicodin.
Ive heard alot of the album is going to be about his dealing with the death of Proof.
But I thought it was supposed to come out late this year.
Some people can write and record an album in a couple months, others take a year or more.
Then once an album is finished, it could take another couple months to mix and master.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, 50 Cent said Eminem was planning to return from his musical hiatus soon.

"You'll be seeing him shortly. He's working. I spent the weekend at his house. Even though he tries to relax and stay home it's impossible for him to stay in," he declared.

50 Cent suggested, however, that Eminem was not happy with much of the new material he's recorded recently.

"A lot of material he wrote prior to this [announcement] is being scrapped. He's got to feel like it's just happened, it's new and it's current. That's just how he is creatively as an artist."

The Detriot rapper hasn't released an album since 2004's 'Encore'.

Earlier this year, Eminem phoned into his own US radio station, Shade 45, pretending to be an unsigned artist in order to prank call LL Cool J, who was a guest on the station.

He went on to reveal his identity to Cool J, before telling listeners: "Everything is good. I'm just in the studio right now working on songs and stuff like that."

Man that sucks. O well. I still can't wait for it to hit.
